Dialogue on the Role of the EU in the Current Geopolitical Context – with Javier Solana and Javi López

Javier Solana de Madariaga, former EU High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy, and the Vice-President of the European Parliament, Javi López, will take part in a dialogue focused on the role of the European Union in today’s geopolitical context. The conversation forms part of the commemoration of the 40th anniversary of Spain’s accession to the EU.

The event, organised by the Catalunya Europa Foundation, the European Parliament Liaison Office in Barcelona, and the Catalan Council of the European Movement, with the support of CEI, will take place at CEI International Affairs (av. de Vallvidrera, 25, Sarrià-Sant Gervasi, 08017 Barcelona) from 15:45 to 17:30. Prior registration through this form is required to confirm attendance. At the end of the event, coffee will be served in the CEI gardens.

This dialogue offers an opportunity to analyse today’s global challenges —security, strategic autonomy, and the EU’s international role— drawing on the experience of one of the key figures in European foreign policy, in conversation with Javi López, Vice-President of the European Parliament and member of the Security and Defence Committee.
