ABSTRACT

Starting from the interest in understanding the characteristics of the Chinese economy and its rise as a world power, the study of the New Silk Road, employed in the 21st century, has been proposed. Likewise, an analysis of its characteristics and evolution over time will be conducted. It is intended to assess the approval of the potential investment agreement between the European Union and China, as well as to explore the role of this power in the current world and in the near future.

After researching aspects related to China's ascent, technical and historical information has been sought. From this, an analysis of Chinese history has been conducted, leading to conclusions about its continuity. Ultimately, it has been determined that China is currently a significant power in terms of production, the development of commercial strategies, and even economic matters. However, it will not be considered a hegemonic power until it achieves a balance between growth, sustainability, human rights, and the environment, among other considerations.
