The study "The Catalan socialists in the configuration of democratic Spain (1982-2010)" is a first approach to the role of the socialists of Catalonia in the structuring of democratic Spain, formulating it from the academic and generational distance. To do so with the most complete vision possible, it has been decided to address the issue separately from the state, regional and municipal, choosing a time frame that includes the arrival of the PSOE in the Government of Spain (1982) until the departure of the PSC from the Generalitat de Catalunya (2010), after the ruling of the Constitutional Court against the Catalan Statute approved in 2006 dynamited the Catalan political landscape and ended up breaking the formal unity of the PSC as a party.
