On Saturday 2 July, Calonge Castle will host, from 10am, the second edition of the 'Europe in Blue' conference which aims to offer a forum for reflection and debate on the future of the European Union.

The event aims to consolidate the Baix Empordà as an annual space for European reflection where people interested and committed to the future of the EU can meet each year to analyze, from a critical, but always constructive, point of view, the state of the Union and the main challenges it faces.

In this edition, entitled 'We are the Europe we make', the program of presentations and debates will focus on the post-pandemic EU, for a new digital, circular and social economy, and a future based on a stronger European society and solidarity in the world

The opening of the conference will be carried out by the mayor of Calonge and Sant Antoni, Jordi Soler, and the president of the Consell Comarcal del Baix Empordà, Joan Loureiro. In addition, the director general of the Representation of the Government Abroad and of the European Union, Gerard Vives, will perform the closing ceremony.
