The purpose of this session is to consider how diversity is recognized and visible in today's societies, and at the same time, to reflect on how to work, for not converting different cultural and social expressions into folklorization, but rather as a joint construction that generates spaces of belonging and security for all citizens.
The conference speaker will be Nira Yuval-Davis, Professor Emeritus, Honorary Director of the Research Centre on Migration, Refugees and Belonging (CMRB) at the University of East London. She will be chaired by Silvia Carrasco, professor of Social Anthropology in the UAB.
The session will be in English and there will be a simultaneous translation service into Catalan
